On December 15th<\/sup>, the Rosewood team participated in our annual company Volunteer Day. This year, we headed for the Phoenix Zoo, where we completed landscaping work including removing weeds, non-native shrubs and trees.<\/p>\n

For those who might not know, the Phoenix Zoo has a horticultural staff of just nine people who are responsible for the Zoo\u2019s 126 acres of grounds.\u00a0They don\u2019t have a budget or staff for anything but the most basic grounds keeping.\u00a0So, projects like the ones we did simply won\u2019t get done without volunteers.<\/p>\n

Lenora Stewart from the Zoo sent us the nicest thank you note which read in part: \u201cIt was so nice to meet your team from Rosewood Homes. What a group\u00a0they are! If the quality of the company is reflective of the group\u00a0that came to the Zoo today,\u00a0it must be a great company!\u00a0We were so impressed.\u00a0Thank you for all\u00a0that your group did.\u00a0You are welcome back any time!\u201d
\nThough we appreciate how grateful Lenora and her crew are, we definitely feel like we got so much more out of the experience. After all, who doesn\u2019t love the zoo?<\/p>\n

Each year Rosewood closes all of its offices to volunteer at a local non-profit or charitable organization. Past group volunteer events have included St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army, Children\u2019s First Academy, South Scottsdale\u2019s Vista del Camino Community Center and others.
